INSTE Class : Next Class Starts in August

What is INSTE?  It's an acronym for Institute of Theology by Extension.  The curriculum was developed by friends of Zion, Drs. Nick and Leona Venditti.  Pastor John is looking to INSTE to provide consistent biblical and theological training to our members and provide a way for us to develop the next generation of leaders at Zion. The course this semester is an introduction to biblical theology; what we believe as followers of Jesus. We need to know what we believe and why we believe it. This will be a fascinating, stimulating time together.

The group meetings will be online by Zoom. Neither rain nor snow, or any pandemic will keep us from meeting. You may also contact us by phone or text: Leona (515-988-2047) or Nick (515-988-2255).

You can come to Zion for in person conversation or tune in on Zoom. Send a request to Pastor John for a Zoom invitation. The invitation will be sent before noon.

THIRD THURSDAY
A fascinating piece of WWII history is the story of the Monument Men, brave allied soldiers who rescued some of Europe’s finest stolen artwork from the Nazis.  Come to Third Thursday, May 15, at noon, to hear the granddaughter of one of these men, Ruth Ehler, relate this exciting story.  Bring a side dish if you wish; we’ll eat lunch, fellowship, and then enjoy the program.  Bring a friend!
