Youth Ministry
As leaders, we use the following principles to guide all we do:
Serve - we try to meet felt needs, physical needs, and spiritual needs. We love students and by serving them we serve Christ. By serving others, we grow in our faith and become more like Christ.
Teach - we value knowledge, and seek to connect head, heart, and hands. We learn by doing and believe that a well rounded spiritual life is one of study (personal and corporate) as well as service.
Advocate - we want students to know we are THERE for them. We want to be an ear, a voice, and influence for the good in their lives. We will speak truth to them, and for them as well!
Reach - we value relationships, real and honest relationships. That is not easy, it is more than a text or direct message. It is lived in the real world with real people. We share real hearts, live real lives, and experience a very real Jesus! We hope to reach every student with the reality of hope found in Christ.
Send- we want to send your student out into the world- to school, work and play with the skills to navigate through obstacles and live as a follower of Jesus. We want to instill in them a desire to GO! Serve Jesus. It is our hope that they will set an excellent example to their peers, loved ones, and each person they cross paths with of what it is like to be a Christian. We hope we can give them the tools to set themselves apart from others and truly be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Every student is a STARS student in our book, and in doing these five things in all our ministry endeavors, we pray Christ is glorified in and through us!
Why do we do this? Because we believe that Jesus was right - “I am the way, and the truth, and the life...” John 14.6
